Angelo State University Angelo State University has extended the deadline for accepting applications for the Fall 2020 cohort for the Master of Nursing Program tracks: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Nurse Educator (NE). Angelo State University Master of Nursing Program tracks are offered online and can be completed in as few as two years. Clinical requirements can usually be completed in the student’s city of residence within the state of Texas. On-campus attendance requirements are kept to a minimum.

Seattle Pacific University The application deadline for the DNP-Clinical Nurse Specialist program at Seattle Pacific University has been extended to May 15, 2020!

Coursework and clinical experiences provide individualized learning to refine collaborative skills and interaction with the health care team to improve the quality of patient care.
If you’re a practicing BSN- or MSN-prepared nurse, and you are committed to improving clinical outcomes, advancing direct care through care coordination, evaluating quality indicators, and collaborating with the health care team, you may want to pursue the DNP Clinical Nurse Specialist track.
The South Dakota State University College of Nursing has extended the application for the Fall 2020 program start on both the Brookings and Rapid City sites. Currently, there are seats available in both locations. The application will remain open until August 1, 2020 or until the programs are filled with qualified applicants. Students are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as they meet eligibility requirements.
The Standard Option on the Brookings and Rapid City campuses is a four-year nursing program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree. Pre-nursing students can apply to the Professional Nursing Major in the spring semester for a fall program start, once all prerequisite courses are completed or in progress. The Professional Nursing Major coursework can be completed in five semesters (or two and one half years). University of Nebraska Medical Center A shortage of registered nurses is projected to be nearly 4,000 by 2020, according to the Nebraska Center for Nursing. To meet the demand, University of Nebraska Medical Center has been working for several years on numerous strategies to expand the number of students in its bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs.
One strategy to help impact the nursing shortage, is to extend the deadline for applications for the Traditional BSN program on all five campuses; Omaha, Kearney, Norfolk, Lincoln and the Scottsbluff campus. The extension will help ensure that as many qualified applicants as possible can be considered for the program that starts in August. The deadline to apply is April 1, 2020.
