Pacific Lutheran University

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Pacific Lutheran University is still accepting applications for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program.

The PLU DNP program, which prepares graduates in the advanced-practice specialty concentrations of Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), has been ranked as one of the top 120 graduate nursing programs in the United States by U.S. News and World Report.

Both the PMHNP and FNP program are designed to meet the demand for additional advanced practice providers in the region and state. The program qualifies students to sit for national certification examinations, making them eligible under Washington State law for Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) licensure. In the State of Washington, ARNPs have independent practice and prescribing authority.

The PLU difference:

  • PLU is known for its high quality nursing education.
  • Cohort sizes are small to ensure a high quality, personable PLU experience.
  • All clinical placements are arranged by the PLU faculty.
  • There are full-time and a part-time option for nurses with either a BSN or master’s in nursing for the FNP and the PMHNP program.

Applications are accepted at any time throughout the year on a rolling basis. Apply now through your NursingCAS profile. For more information visit our website or contact Graduate Admissions at 253-535-8570.

Palm Beach Atlantic University
Palm Beach Atlantic School of Nursing announces the addition of an RN to BSN program. The program complements the University’s current nursing degree offerings and responds to the demand for baccalaureate-prepared nurses to provide better patient outcomes and reduce the total cost of care.

“Palm Beach Atlantic offers one of the few faith-based RN to BSN nursing programs in the state at a competitive price. This quality as well as the personal relationships that students have with faculty that we provide in a convenient online environment are the most significant differentiators of this program,” School of Nursing Dean Dr. Joanne Masella said. All coursework can be completed online except for the capstone course that students can complete in their communities. Applicants to the program minimally hold an associate degree in nursing (ADN) and an active Florida registered nurse license.Graduates of Palm Beach Atlantic’s RN to BSN program will have a streamlined pathway to pursue graduate degrees at the University, which will give them even broader opportunities in clinical or administrative settings.
